The KOOP trade fair once again demonstrated the value of open exchange within the electronics retail industry. Held on March 1 and 2 in Hanover, this year’s event brought together industry professionals, retailers and partners to explore new ideas, trends and opportunities for collaboration. The event was organised with the participation of Expert SE, highlighting the company’s commitment to strengthening dialogue across the sector.
The move from the previous location in Berlin to Hanover created a new setting for dialogue and exchange. The event offered a platform where participants could meet, discuss current developments and strengthen professional relationships across the industry.
Strong Interest From Across The Industry
Around 3,000 participants attended the event, taking the opportunity to learn about innovations, trends and offers from the consumer electronics and home appliances sector. Approximately 200 exhibitors presented their products and solutions in a joint exhibition hall, creating a dynamic environment for visitors and partners.
Beyond product presentations, the fair served as a space for discussion about the future of electronics retail and the evolving challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
First Joint Get-Together With EURONICS
One of the highlights of KOOP 2026 was the first joint GET-TOGETHER organised together with EURONICS. The evening event provided an informal setting where participants could deepen discussions, make new contacts and strengthen existing partnerships.
Personal exchange remains a key element of the KOOP concept, and the event once again underlined the importance of direct dialogue within the industry.
Interest From Other Retail Cooperations
KOOP also attracted attention from other retail cooperations interested in learning more about the platform. Representatives from ElectronicPartner and EK-Retail attended both the trade fair and the GET-TOGETHER to gain insight into the concept and explore possibilities for future collaboration.
The event is deliberately designed to remain open, inviting other retail organisations to participate. Especially in times of structural change within the industry, exchange across cooperation boundaries is becoming increasingly important.
Looking Ahead
The many discussions during KOOP 2026 showed how strong the shared interest is in shaping a successful future for the electronics retail sector. The dialogue and ideas generated during the event will continue beyond the fair as partners explore new opportunities for cooperation.

The next KOOP trade fair is scheduled to take place on February 21 and 22 next year, once again in Hanover. Before that, the cooperation will expand its presence later this year when ElectronicPartner, EURONICS and expert appear together for the first time at IFA in Berlin, sending a clear signal in support of medium-sized specialist retailers.
