Miele Presents M Sense: The Intelligent System That Redefines Cooking

The M Sense cookware and KM 8000 induction hobs

Nothing burns. Nothing boils over. With this confident promise, Miele unveiled one of its most innovative concepts yet at IFA 2025 — the M Sense cookware and the KM 8000 induction hob. Together, they introduce a completely new level of intelligent, sensor-assisted cooking.

Smart collaboration between cookware and hob

At the heart of M Sense lies the world’s first cookware equipped with integrated touch controls and up to three temperature sensors. These sensors communicate directly with Miele’s new KM 8000 induction hobs, automatically selecting the ideal power setting and adjusting it in real time.

The result: intuitive, precise, and safe cooking. With DirectTouch control located directly on the pot or pan, users simply choose a program, and the system takes care of the rest. No more overcooked pasta, burnt sauces, or manual adjustments — just perfectly controlled results, every time.

“With the M Sense cookware and the KM 8000 hobs, we are creating a system that not only simplifies the cooking process, but actively accompanies it – intelligently, intuitively, and integrated into the lifestyle of our customers,” says Dr Uwe Brunkhorst, Head of the Cooking Business Unit at Miele.

Efficient, precise, and sustainable

Beyond convenience, the M Sense system brings measurable benefits. Thanks to its intelligent temperature management and smart lid design, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 30 percent when cooking with a lid. The system also ensures gentle, even cooking — from boiling pasta to frying delicate ingredients.

After use, all M Sense cookware can be cleaned in the dishwasher, and the control element’s long-life battery makes it perfect for everyday use. The cookware itself is produced by Kuhn Rikon, the Swiss manufacturer known for premium kitchen products, while Miele developed the digital intelligence in Bünde, North Rhine-Westphalia.

Digital support through the Miele App

The experience extends beyond the kitchen hardware. Through the Miele App, users can access new Smart Extras such as FoodAssistant and CookAssist. These tools help select the right cooking program, send it directly to the cookware, and even guide users step by step through full recipes — transferring time and temperature automatically for perfect results.

KM 8000: Design meets performance

The new KM 8000 induction hob series combines minimalist design with advanced functionality. Its sleek glass ceramic surface features discreet markings that blend seamlessly into open kitchen spaces. The top model introduces an elegant line of light for visual feedback, and a MattFinish version offers scratch resistance and an anti-fingerprint coating.

Other thoughtful details include direct hood control for ceiling or downdraft ventilation systems and Con@ctivity, which automatically adjusts extraction power based on hob activity.

Each KM 8000 hob comes with a voucher for a free M Sense starter set, available in 60, 80, and 90 cm widths, with options for full-surface induction or defined zones.

Available from April 2026

The M Sense cookware and KM 8000 induction hobs will be available starting April 2026, bringing Miele’s trademark combination of innovation, precision, and design into a new era of intelligent cooking.
