At the end of 2025, Expert SE successfully transferred two existing specialist stores in Bad Kissingen and Schweinfurt to new ownership within the group. The locations were acquired by expert Jakob Bayreuth GmbH, securing continuity for employees and ensuring customers can continue to rely on their familiar expert stores in their local communities.
The transfer was completed ahead of the busy year-end period, creating stability at a critical time. Thanks to swift integration, both stores continued operating without interruption, maintaining availability and service quality throughout the transition.
Clear perspectives for teams and customers
“Both locations have a solid foundation and dedicated teams. It was important to us to give them a clear perspective and to continue the business quickly and reliably,” emphasises Christian Jakob, Managing Director of expert Jakob.
“The geographical proximity to existing Expert Jakob locations made it easier to stabilise processes quickly and provide operational support.”
The smooth transition ensured that customers experienced no disruption and could continue shopping with confidence at their local expert stores.
Stable teams and established structures
The integration of employees progressed seamlessly. Local teams demonstrated strong unity and commitment, while market managers took responsibility early in the transition phase. The experience and expertise of long-serving employees proved particularly valuable during this period.
“The most important moment was being able to tell the teams: We’re moving forward,” Jakob adds.
Following the acquisition, the focus was placed on targeted operational measures. Shelves were restocked, product ranges reviewed and restructured. Rather than extensive renovations, priority was given to stability, availability and reliability, ensuring customers had access to a comprehensive assortment, expert advice and fair pricing, especially during the year-end business.
