Intel has taken the spotlight at CES 2024, introducing a comprehensive range of high-performance computing solutions spanning mobile, desktop, and edge environments. The new Intel Core 14th Gen processor lineup, featuring both HX-series mobile processors and mainstream desktop processors, brings unprecedented power and efficiency to tech enthusiasts and mainstream users alike.

Key Announcements:

Mobile Innovation: Intel launches the Intel Core 14th Gen mobile processor family, spearheaded by the powerful Intel Core i9-14900HX, boasting 24 cores and delivering an unparalleled mobile experience for enthusiasts. This mobile processor series also introduces the Intel Core 7 processor 150U, showcasing 10 cores/12 threads and turbo frequencies up to 5.4 GHz.

Desktop Advancements: The complete lineup of Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors, available at 65-watt and 35-watt levels, caters to mainstream desktop, All-in-One, and edge devices. These processors, offering up to 24 cores and 32 threads, redefine real-world performance for desktop users.

Efficient Mobile Computing: Intel introduces the Intel Core U Processor Series 1 family, featuring the Intel Core 7 processor 150U with up to 10 cores, 12 threads, and turbo frequencies reaching 5.4 GHz. These processors, designed for mainstream thin-and-light mobile systems, deliver efficient performance and robust features.

Roger Chandler, Intel’s Vice President and General Manager of Enthusiast PC and Workstations, emphasized the broad appeal of the Intel Core 14th Gen processor family. “Our Intel Core 14th Gen processor family is built to bring top-notch performance and platform features to enthusiast and mainstream PC users alike,” stated Chandler. He highlighted the exceptional mobile experience offered by the HX-series processors for enthusiasts on-the-go and the efficiency and performance benefits of the latest desktop processors for mainstream users.

Key Features of Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series Mobile Processors:

Turbo frequencies up to 5.8 GHz, providing up to 17% better gaming performance and up to 51% faster multitasking performance compared to the competition.
Up to 24 cores (eight P-cores, 16 E-cores) and 32 threads in the i9-14900HX processors.
Support for up to 192 GB of total DDR5-5600 memory.
Overclocking capabilities with Intel Extreme Utility (XTU) and Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) support.
Thunderbolt™ 5 with 80 Gbps bi-directional bandwidth, setting new standards for display and data experiences.

Desktop Processors and Edge Computing:

The expansion of the Intel Core 14th Gen desktop stack offers users up to 24 cores and 32 threads, delivering up to 37% faster multi-thread performance and up to 7% better Microsoft Office performance gen-over-gen. Availability:

The Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series mobile processors and desktop processors are set to empower more than 60 partner systems in 2024, offering users a diverse range of computing solutions.
